Pudding Rachel

This is an old recipe found at the San Benito Historical Society, used for a special class. It is written as the original.

2 cups milk
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tabsp. cornstarch
Scald milk
Add 1/2 sugar and cornstarch
Add yolks before taking off fire

Add rest of sugar to whites. Put marangue (sic) and bake till brown.
