From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. For a Halloween treat, after baking and they have cooled, dip one end into melted chocolate and then place a corn candy on to resemble spooky fingers!
1/3 cup butter or olive oil
Place butter or oil and garlic in a 9 by 13 inch baking pan and put in cold oven. Turn oven on to 425 degrees. In meantime, in batter bowl whisk together the flours, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add milk and mix until it clings together. Dump out onto floured surface and knead lightly about 10 times. Roll dough 1/2 inch thick into a rectangle 12 by 8 inches. Cut dough in half, and then into 16 strips. Carefully remove hot pan from oven and roll the strips in the butter, arranging together in two rows. Bake 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.
