Strawberry and Baby Greens Salad
From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Serves 2-4. Fresh strawberries are now being noted as one of the best de-toxifying foods to eat!
1 cup sliced fresh red-ripe strawberries
Combine the 1 cup berries with sugar or honey. Sprinkle with balsamic and set aside. In glass measuring cup, mash the ripe berries and then whisk in the olive oil, vinegar, salt, and sugar to make dressing. Arrange lettuce and greens on individual salad plates, place some marinated berries on the side and put on a small round of brie or goat cheese. Drizzle all with the dressing. Sprinkle with a few grains of semi-coarse sea salt. (black or coral especially wonderful here!)
