Spaghetti with Meat Sauce

2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, slivered
1/2 onion, chopped
1 pound lean ground meat
3 tablespoons minced Italian parsley
1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian Seasoning
1 box Pomi chopped tomatoes
1 pound spaghetti.
water, salt and oil for cooking pasta
Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese for grating over top

In saute pan, heat oil. Saute garlic and onion several mintues, then add meat. Cook and stir until meat has browned. Add parsley, salt, pepper, seasonings, and tomatoes and bring to a boil. Reduce to simmer and cook at least 30 minutes, maybe more. Bring large pot of water to boil, add a little salt and oil. Add spaghetti and cook as directed on package. Drain and place in bowl, pour sauce over, and garnish with cheese.
