Fall Fruit Brown BettyFor a special treat, top this dessert with light cream or a scoop of ice cream. 5 slices bread, cut into 1/2-inch cubes In a medium bowl, mix bread cubes with butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and brown sugar. Arrange in alternate layers with apples and/or pears in a slow cooker. Sprinkle dried cranberries over each layer of fruit. Cover and cook 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours or until apples are tender. Serve warm.
