Green Beans with Roasted Garlic Butter

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at

1 - 2 heads garlic
1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 pound fresh green beans
1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
slivered almonds

Slice the top off of the heads of garlic, exposing just the tips of each clove. Sprinkle with olive oil. Place in ceramic garlic roaster, or on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 - 50 minutes. Set aside.
When cool enough to handle, squeeze the cloves of garlic out of their skins and mash. When ready to serve wash and snip the green beans. In skillet, place about 2 tablespoons water and bring to boil. Add beans, cover, steam about 2 minutes. Arrange on plate, toss in the garlic, add salt, and sprinkle with almonds.
