Sourdough Biscuits

2 cups sifted or lifted flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons cold butter
1 cup milk
1 1/2 cups proofed sourdough starter, approximately

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In food processor with steel chopping blade in place, whirl together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Add butter and process just to cut the butter into chunks. Add the milk and 1 cup of the starter, adding remaining starter as needed for the dough to form a ball. Remove to floured surface and hand knead about 10 seconds, roll out and cut into shapes. Place in ungreased pan. Bake 15-20 minutes.
