Greens and Fruit with Cherry Dressing

Prepare the bananas, melon, and grapes into bite-sized pieces and place in a bowl or arrange on plates along with plenty of fresh greens. To make the dressing, cook the cherries, garlic, honey, port or juice, and vinegar in a small saucepan for 4-5 minutes. Allow to cool at least 10 minutes. Puree the mixture in food processor or blender, adding the vanilla, salt and pepper. Then add the oil in a steady stream with the motor running. Drizzle over the greens and fruits and serve.
