Creamy Well Seasoned Bananas
From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. This sounds a little wierd, but it is so tasty! Give it a try, it will make you famous!
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
4-5 cloves garlic, slivered
1/2 to 3/4 cup best quality real vanilla ice cream
bananas
other fresh fruits, such as strawberries
In heavy bottomed skillet or saute pan, heat oil and saute garlic slivers until they begin to turn brown, but not burned. Stir in ice cream and continue to stir until it has melted. Cook and stir several minutes until it has reduced and is taking on a carmelized color, but do not let it boil. Cool slightly. In meantime, slice fruits. Pour the warm sauce onto beautiful serving plates and arrange fruit slices on top. Garnish and serve.
