Fresh Fruit Sauces

Add a little powdered sugar to fresh berries or other fruit. Allow to stand a few minutes. Arrange over ice cream and serve. Or, mash the fruit and force it through a sieve or food mill to strain. Add more sugar, as needed. Chill and serve over ice cream or sherbet at serving time.

Pure maple syrup makes a great topping along with some fresh fruit slices

Brandied cherries or other fruits are great, too.

Torani syrups drizzled lightly over the ice cream makes a quick and easy topping, as well as a nice sweetener for fruit, if needed.
