Pizza dough recipe
First prepare the pizza dough, and while it is rising you can make the pizza sauce. About 30 minutes before baking, place pizza stone on bottom rack of oven. Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Sprinkle pizza peel with cornmeal. Stretch, toss, or roll out dough and place on peel, building up the edges a bit. Spread with a little sauce, tapenade, or pesto. Sprinkle or arrange other ingredients over sauce, and sprinkling with cheese over all. Brush edges with olive oil. Slip pizza onto hot stone in oven. Bake 15-20 minutes, or until browned and crisp. It depends on the thickness of the crust, the type of filling, etc. Place on cutting board, allow to cool slightly and cut into slices.
