Red Cabbage Salad

From Dorothy McNett's Recipe Book at

1 small to medium head red cabbage
1 medium red onion
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
juice of 1 large lemon
1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
a few grinding of peppercorns

Thinly slice the cabbage and the onion. Combine in beautiful bowl. In small measuring cup, whisk together olive oil, garlic, lemon, salt, and black pepper. Toss into the salad and let stand at least 1 hour before serving.
