Ice Cream Pie

2 cups chocolate vanilla wafer cookies
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup soft butter

1 quart ice cream
candy or sugar sprinkles, or granola

In food processor with steel chopping blade in place, whirl cookies, walnuts, and butter to a coarse meal. Press into bottom of a 9 inch springform pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Chill. When crust has cooled, pack and press the softened ice cream into the pan. Sprinkle with a layer of granola, or use interesting sprinkles of candied, dried fruits, etc. Cover and freeze overnight, or at least several hours. To serve, remove rim of pan, slip pie onto a cutting board, and using a warm knife, slice into wedges.
