Lemon or Orange Granita

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. So easy as long as you think ahead and get it frozen. Then, within minutes, you will be serving a fabulous fruity dessert. And, don't forget about tangerines!

2 cups water
1 cup sugar
pinch of fine sea salt
zest of 1 lemon or 1 orange
1 cup lemon or orange juice

Combine all ingredients and stir until sugar is dissolved. Freeze 1 hour. Stir to break up ice crystals. Freeze another 2-3 hours,or until nearly solid. (good idea to freeze in ice cube trays.) Break up and put into food processor with steel chopping blade in place. Process until fluffy and slushy. Serve immediately.
