Grilled Halloumi Cheese
The wonderful cheese from Cypress. Recipe adapted by Dorothy McNett at www.dorothymcnett.com for use in "Amazing Grazing" cooking classes. This recipe was featured in a television show by Dorothy and served with the Cauliflower Broccoli Beehive, drizzled with B&R Farms Apricot and Red Pepper Topping.
Heat a stove top grill pan or a heavy bottomed large saute pan, brushing with olive oil. Drain and slice cheese into 1/4 inch slices. Place on hot grill or in hot pan and cook gently a few minutes on both sides, to brown. Serve with dollops of quince jam or apricot red pepper topping.
