Party Punch

From Dorothy McNett's Recipe Book at

2 tablespoons dried mint, or 4 tablespoons fresh mint leaves
2 tablespoons dried lavender, or 4 tablespoons fresh lavender blossoms
6 cups boiling water
1 liter gingerale
1 cup purple grape juice

In teapot brew the mint in the hot water for 10 minutes. Add lavender, stir, and let cool. Strain, and add grape juice. Chill and just before serving pour in the gingerale. Serve with ice cubes that have been frozen with lavender and mint leaves in the center.
