Kebab Dip

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at Great for meat or vegetables! Tofu also.

1 cup raw sugar
1 cup water
1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup sorghum
1 teaspoon grated ginger root
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander, or diced fresh coriander root
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground peppercorns

Combine sugar and water in 2 quart saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Cook until temperature reaches 200 degrees on a candy thermometer, about 5 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer 3 minutes. Serve with skewered foods as a dip.
