Salsa and Sausage Dinner in a Pan
From Dorothy McNett's Recipe Book at www.dorothymcnett.com. Bonnie Swank of Swank's Farms in Hollister provided a recipe for salsa stuffed tri-tip which is wonderful done on a barbecue. This is a quick version using the same salsa but warming it and heating the sausages for a quick and tasty main dish prepared in a pan on the stove.
3-4 fully cooked chicken apple sausages
Slice sausages into slices about 1 inch thick. Heat salsa in heavy bottomed saute pan. Add sausage pieces and cook gently to heat through. Great served as it with dollops of sour cream sprinkled with chives , or poured over freshly cooked noodles, etc.
