Barbecue Prawns

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Use any sauce or seasoning that you have on hand!

1/3 cup unsalted butter or extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons barbecue sauce or dry shrimp seasoning, etc.
1 pound fresh prawns, peeled and deveined
1/2 cup dry white wine, or water or broth

In saute pan or skillet, heat butter or oil. Add the barbecue sauce or shrimp seasoning. Add the prawns and stir gently for 1 - 2 minutes, or until they start to curl up and are cooked. Remove prawns to a plate and now add the liquid to the hot pan. Cook on high heat for 1 - 2 minutes to reduce the liquids by about half. Stir the prawns back into the pan to combine them with the sauce. Serve as a finger food, or serve over hot cooked rice or noodles for a main dish.
