Green Beans with Diced Sausage and More

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at Add cooked shrimp, or saute some fresh prawns, etc. Be Creative!

fresh green beans
1/2 cup finely diced hot or mild sausage (Chicken Apple is great with this!)
some cooked baby shrimp or fresh prawns, cooked
1/3 cup water

Wash and snip off the stem end of the beans but leave the tail end on. Dice the sausage. In a heavy bottomed saute pan with a lid, add the water and bring to a boil. Quickly add the beans. Cover. Cook exactly 3 minutes. Remove lid, add the sausage and shrimp, etc. Serve.,
