Egg Salad Sandwiches and Variations

eggs (hard cooked, cooled and peeled)
In a bowl chop and mash eggs and select one or several of the suggestions. Season to taste. Spread bread slices with soft butter or mayonnaise or tartar sauce. Pile on your creation. Top with lettuce. Add top bread layer. Slice and eat.
