Make ahead and serve before and during any meal! bite sized pieces of cheddar or other firm cheese (provolone is great) Cut the cheese into little squares. Place in a bowl and pour in the red wine, just to cover the cheese. Allow to marinate about 2-3 hours, or even overnight. Remove from the wine, garnish with snipped herbs and use toothpicks for serving. The red wine marinade can be used for a great finishing sauce for pan-grilled steak.
