Vegetables Ala Mode
From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. No, not vegetables served with ice cream as we usually think ala mode means. A true meaning of the phrase is "in season" or "fashionable of the day". So, eat your local seasonal vegetables dolloped with a special sauce!
1/2 cup grated or finely chopped raw carrots
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush a baking dish with olive oil and set aside. Use a food processor, or sharp knife, and chop all vegetables. Combine ingredients and shape into patties and arrange in the dish, or just spread it in the dish. Bake 15 minutes, or until lightly browned on top. If making patties, turn them over. Continue baking about 10-12 minutes more, or until nicely brown. Serve in buns with honey mustard mayonnaise and lettuce.
