Cheese Ball with Clams

1 - 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (try Cotswald)
Grate cheese finely, using food processor or cheese grater. Drain the clams well, discarding the liquid. Combine cheese, clams, fruits, mayonnaise and pepper. Shape into a ball, adding enough extra cheese if needed so that it will stick together. Place on serving plate, sprinkle with paprika and then tuck the clove into the top and arrange the bay leaf off the side, so it resembles an apple. Serve with the crackers.
