From Dorothy McNett's Recipe Book at www.dorothymcnett.com. My great-grandparents and grandparents used the Black Elderberry to make a cooked concentrate of the juice, sweetened it with a little honey from their bee hive, and this was our "cough syrup" or flu tonic. I have rediscovered this product ready made at health food stores. I put about 1 teaspoon into my breakfast smoothie every morning.
1 cup orange juice
Put all ingredients into a blender or "Insta-Blend" (the upside down blender!) and whirl to make a smoothie. Drink and feel better already.
