Cheese Crispies / Crackers

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at These are great appetizers or snacks, or to serve with your homemade soups. Make plenty, they will disappear fast!

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
dash of Tabasco
1 cup grated sharp Cheddar cheese
1 cup all purpose unbleached flour
1 cup rice krispies or other crisp cereal as desired

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Soften butter for 30 - 40 seconds on half power in microwave, or have at room temperature. Mix all together and form into small balls. Place on cookie sheet. Press with tines of fork to flatten. Bake 15 - 20 minutes, until browned and crispy.
