Almond Roca Bars

From Dorothy McNett's Recipe Book at

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extrace or vanilla bean paste
1/3 pound dark chocolate
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts

Mix butter, sugars, flour and vanilla together. Press mixture in 11x15 cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees 12-15 minutes. Melt chocolate on High 1-2 minutes and spread over baked bars. Sprinkle with nuts. Cut into bars while still warm.
