Chocolate Peanut Butter Crispies

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at Serve these with a dish of custard or pudding, fresh fruits, ice cream......always a big hit!

1/4 cup raw sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup dark chocolate chips
3 cups good whole grain cereal (Kashi 7 Whole Grain Flakes)
1 teaspoon real vanilla or vanilla bean paste

Combine sugar, corn syrup, and peanut butter in large batter bowl. Cook in microwave 2 minutes. Stir and cook another 1 minute. Add chocolate chips and stir to melt, adding cereal and vanilla. Press into waxed paper lined 9-inch pan or onto a parchment lined baking sheet, or roll into balls. Cut into serving sized pieces when firm.
