For busy people on the go, doing a quick and easy and delicious and nutritious rib eye steak is very easy! Serve with lots of baby greens on the plate. 1 - 3 rib eye steaks Sprinkle each steak with herbed sea salt, pepper, and herbes de Provence. Heat a heavy bottomed fry or saute pan with oil just to coat the bottom of the pan. When hot, (but not smoking!) add the seasoned steak and cook for about 3 minutes on the first side, then turn the steaks and cook another 3-4 minutes on the second side, or until done to your liking. Remove steaks to serving plates, sprinkle each steak with the about 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds. In the hot pan, add about 1/4 cup of port and cook and stir with a silicone spatula to reduce the sauce, bringing up the browned bits on the bottom of the pan. Pour over the steaks and serve along with the baby greens and that have been drizzled with olive oil. Garnish with dried berries. Recipe created 2006-12-13. © 1996-2013 Dorothy McNett.
