Nigiri-zushi

From Dorothy McNett's Recipe Book at www.dorothymcnett.com. This is a hand formed finger of the vinegared sushi rice that is about 2 1/2 inches long and 1 inch wide. This is considered a finger food, suitable for dipping into a flavorful sauce.

cooked and cooled sushi rice
wasabi
thin slices of sushi grade tuna or salmon
thin strips of nori

soy sauce

Form the fingers of rice, dollop each with a bit of wasabi and then drape a thin slice of fish over the top. A thin slice of nori adds a great garnish, and can help hold it all together for dipping into a sauce.
