Morels Cream Sauce

1/2 - 3/4 cup dried morels (one package)
1 tablespoon butter
salt and pepper
1/2 - 1 cup half and half

Rinse the mushrooms, and then add enough water to cover and allow to soak about 30 minutes. Thinly slice each one. Heat the butter in a heavy bottomed fry or saute pan and gently cook the mushrooms about 8-10 minutes, adding salt and pepper. Cover with the half and half and continue to cook on low heat, stirring constantly, until the milk has been nearly absorbed. Serve as is, or use on potatoes, pastas, salads, sandwiches etc!
