Cinnamon Bubble Bread for Brunch

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. This quick and easy version is very tasty and very do-able with our fast paced life style! Serve for breakfast, brunch, or even as dessert after a great meal.

2 cups all purpose unbleached flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
a few grindings of pepper
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
2/3 cup milk
3/4 cup raw sugar
1-2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
1/2 cup raisins or other dried fruit, as desired

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In batter bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, salt and pepper to mix. In measuring cup, combine oil and milk. Pour into the flour mixture, and stir to blend. Dump out onto work surface and knead gently only about 30 seconds. Shape dough into about 30 small balls. Combine sugar, cinnamon and melted butter. Roll each ball in this mixture and place in a small bundt pan or other mold, sprinkle with raisins. Stack the balls about 2-3 levels high. Even a deep round cake pan will do. Sprinkle with any remaining butter mixture. Bake 20-25 minutes, Allow to cool for about 5 minutes, and then invert onto a serving platter.
