Green Salad with Special Dressing

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at This is a tossed green salad with the addition of vanilla in the is a perfect match for grilled and barbecued beef steak dinners.

salad greens, fresh and spun dry
other mixed vegetables, as desired
1/2 cup chopped roasted and salted peanuts
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
freshly ground peppercorns
1/4 teaspoon sweet paprika
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla or vanilla bean paste

Prepare the greens, using a variety of salad greens. Place greens and peanuts in a large bowl. In a glass measuring cup, whisk together the remaining ingredients and toss into the greens.
