California Golden Green Salad

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. This dressing is wonderful over any combination of fresh local greens and vegetables. Add slivered cooked meats and cheeses, as desired, but not necessary.

4-5 fresh juicy ripe apricots or 2-3 peaches
4-5 fresh basil leaves (about 2 tablespoons)
1/4 cup white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons raw sugar
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground peppercorns
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
fresh greens, tomatoes, other veggies as desired
sliced salami or smoked chicken breasts, ham etc. as desired
1-2 peaches, sliced

In food processor or blender, whirl the apricots or peaches with the basil and then add vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and oil. Pour this over salad greens of your choice, and then arrange slivers of the cold meat and sliced peaches in and around the greens. Serve!
