Herbed Mayonnaise Sauce, Dip, or Dressing

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. For a dip, mix this together and refrigerate. Or just whip it up and serve right away as a great salad dressing with fresh greens, etc. (fennel, broccoli rabe, cabbage salad, chicken, seafood, grilled steaks, or simply raw vegetables for dippers! )

3/4 cup mayonnaise, homemade or good quality commercial
3/4 cup plain yogurt
1 tablespoon green peppercorns, drained and slightly bruised
1 tablespoon capers, drained
2-3 green onions, minced
1/4 cup or so of fresh herbs, minced (basil, parsley, chives, oregano, thyme...)
1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
lots of fresh greens, etc. for a salad,
or vegetable sticks, corn chips, etc. for dipping
fozelek (sauce, meatballs, red pepper garnish)

Combine all dressing ingredients, taste and make corrections as desired. A bit of extra virgin olive oil can be added, or 1-2 teaspoons sweet white wine or sherry, as desired. Taste, taste, taste! Make it your own recipe! Toss it over a bowlful of wonderful local greens for a magnificent salad. Or serve as an appetizer for dipping! YUM!
