Pizza Fondue

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Make your own tomato sauce using the recipe Tomato Sauce.

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 small onion, chopped
3-6 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound lean ground beef, or turkey
2 - 2 1/2 cups well seasoned tomato sauce (see recipe)
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (or similar)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or fontina)
cubed French bread

Select a meat fondue pan or a heavy bottomed skillet or saute pan. Heat the oil, add the onion and garlic. Cook and stir several minutes, then add the ground meat to cook thoroughly. Add the sauce and cheeses, stirring to melt. Transfer pan to fondue burner, regulating the heat so that the mixture will not burn on the bottom. Provide fondue forks and plenty of bread cubes. Dip and enjoy!
