This can be a fun thing to do with family and friends. Have ready several bowls of vinegars and oils. Provide some torn French bread for dipping and tasting. Also, have some leaves of Belgium endive or spinach. Have people create their own vinaigrette on the spot. A pepper and salt grinder, and a small bowl of slivered Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese is also nice. Have fun. Remember, use only the best ingredients you can get.
