Cherries for Dessert
From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. So simple to use just really good foods, when in season! If not cherries, then use strawberries, grapes, apricots, peaches and berries of all sorts and enjoy.
fresh local cherries, pitted and sliced or diced
Wash, pit and prepare cherries as desired and place in a beautiful serving bowl. Sprinkle with just a little sugar to start them juicing up a bit. When ready to serve, toss in some sweet dessert wine or fruit juice. This is really good served with a sponge cake, angel food cake, or Swiss Black Almond Torte.
