Chocolate Mint Dipping Sauce for Sundaes or Fruit

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Use as an ice cream or sherbet sauce, or as a fruit dipping sauce, or even for cookie scooping! Instead of the hard mint candy, use a few snipped fresh mint leaves. Make a fresh fruit cobbler such as Blackberry Cobbler and serve this drizzled over or on the side with fresh berries for a dipping sauce! Stand back for the raves!

1/2 pound dark chocolate
1/3 cup half and half or whipping cream
1/4 cup chopped hard mint candy or fresh mint leaves
2 varieties of sherbet or fresh fruit or cookies

Combine chocolate and cream in batter bowl. Microwave on High 1 minute. Whisk to make smooth sauce. In food processor with steel chopping blade in place, chop the mints. Add to sauce. Pour warm sauce over 2-3 small scoops of sherbet or ice cream, or combinations of diced fresh fruit. Or, place in a nice bowl and surround with cookies or fresh strawberries that are suitable for dipping.
