Barbeque Sauce for Indoor or Outdoor Grilling

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Makes about 2 1/2 cups, use for steaks, burgers, chicken, pork and wild game. This can be kept in the refrigerator 3-4 weeks to be used as needed. You can make it as spicey hot as you like with serano or jalapeno peppers, etc. Some like it hot, some do not!

1/2 cup brewed black coffee
1/2 cup catsup (organic is great!)
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup raw sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 - 2 teaspoons chili powder blend
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3-4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1-2 hot chili peppers, finely minced (jalapeno)

Combine all ingredients in heavy bottomed saucepan, bring to a boil and reduce to simmer. Cook gently about 30 minutes. If desired, cool and blend in food processor or blender to make a smooth puree, adjusting the seasonings as desired.
