Sesame Seed Dipping Sauce

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at This is a wonderful vegetable or shrimp dipping sauce.

1/3 cup sesame seeds
3 tablespoons white vinegar
1 tablespoon raw sugar or local honey
1/4 cup soy sauce

In a heavy bottomed fry pan, toast the sesame seeds about 3-5 minutes, constantly stirring, until they turn brown. Crush in mortar and pestel or food processor, just enough to crack them open a bit. Combine with remaining ingredients. Can be served hot or cold.
