Chunky Cherry Nut Ice Cream Sauce

1/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
Place walnuts and butter in glass measuring cup. Microwave on High 2 minutes. Stir and set aside. In large batter bowl or measuring bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Microwave on High 3 minutes. Stir well. Microwave on High another 3 minutes. Stir in walnuts. Cool slightly and serve over ice cream or cake. Garnish with a dollop of whipped cream and a fresh long stemmed cherry.
