Raspberry Jam and Cheese Appetizer

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Never buy a small jar of jam again when you can make it is less then 10 minutes! Spread this over some hot pepper cheese for a fabulous snack or appetizer.

1 cup fresh raspberries
1 cup raw sugar
cheese slices, or Brie sprinkled with a little freshly ground pepper
bread or crackers, as desired or just use the cheese!

Wash the berries and shake well to get most of the water out. Place berries and sugar in glass or ceramic batter bowl. Cook in microwave 3 minutes. Stir well. Cook another 3 - 4 minutes. Pour into jelly jars or other heat resistant cups. Makes about 1 cup of jam. It will firm up as it cools, and can be used as a cheese topping warm or cold. Or, just use it on toast just as it is, jam!
