Roasted Cherry Tomatoes

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at These are a perfect companion to a roasted tenderloin of beef, etc.

fresh cherry tomatoes, about 1 pound
4-6 cloves garlic, slivered
1-2 tablespoons extra virginn olive oil
sea salt

Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Wash, stem, and arrange tomatoes in a flat small baking dish or pan to hold them upright as much as possible. Tuck in the slivered garlic and drizzle with oil. Bake about 10 minutes, check to see how they are doing, and then perhaps bake another 5-6 minutes. They should brown a bit on the top and get nice and soft, but not falling apart.
