Busy People Weekly Purchases

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Try to make a once-a-week grocery store trip. Here are some suggestions of things to have on hand at all times to quickly put together a nutritious meal in a hurry. I try to always have some of these on hand.

1-2 lemons
quality fruit juices (pure orange, apple, carrot, etc...)
1-2 boxes or pkg. of local baby greens, etc.
1 head lettuce or romaine
1-2 onions
1 head garlic
a few fresh vegetables (in practical amounts)
1-2 varieties of good quality cheese
unsalted butter
fresh meat, poultry, or seafood as desired (buy just what you need so there will not be storage issues...FRESH is best!)
