Every Day a Different Salad

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. Eat more greens!!! Make your own dressings!!! Make it a complete meal with greens, vegetables, cheeses, nuts, seeds, fresh fruits, dried fruits, cooked seafood of all kinds, left-over meats or poultry, cooked rice and/or beans, etc., etc., etc!!
It is called a "Tossed Salad" for many reasons.

greens and other vegetables
anything else you have in refrigerator or cupboard?
1/4 - 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil (buy a different one each time for special flavors)
1-2 tablespoons vinegar of choice, such as balsamic, sherry, red wine, white, apple cider...)
perhaps a bit of fresh lemon or orange juice
zest of lemon or orange
1/2 teaspoon sugar or honey
pinch of sea salt
freshly ground pepper

Toss greens and other additions into a beautiful bowl. In glass measuring cup, whisk the remaining ingredients to blend well. Taste and adjust seasonings for your own taste. Toss into bowl and serve.
