Get to the Farmer's Market for some fresh fava beans! 1/2 - 1 cup shelled fava beans Shell the fava beans. Bring about 2 cups water to a boil in a saucepan. Drop the shelled beans into the boiling water and cook for 30 seconds. Drain. Allow to cool. When ready to serve, place lettuce, parsley, cheese and fava beans in salad bowl.
