Carrots with Rose Glaze

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at

2 -3 fresh carrots
3 tablespoons butter or olive oil
1 tablespoons sugar or maple syrup
1 teaspoon rose water
pinch of sea salt
freshly ground pepper

Wash carrots well, do not peel. Cut slightly at an angle into 1/2 inch slices. Place carrots, butter or oil, sugar, rose water, salt and pepper in glass or ceramic batter bowl. Cover. (do not use plastic!) Cook in microwave 3-4 minutes. Stir well. Serve!
