Beef Steak Marinade

From Dorothy McNett's recipes at A quick, easy and tasty marinade to rub over steaks to grill immediately, or place steaks back in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours to marinate until ready to grill. Makes enough for 2-3 steaks, easily doubled if needing more.

1 shallot
1 green onion, or several sprigs of chives
1/4 teaspoon each cumin, ginger, coriander, sea salt, paprika and pepper
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Very finely dice the shallot and onion, blending in remaining ingredients. Rub onto each side of the steaks. It is best to allow the steaks to marinate 30 minutes or longer, refrigerating if more than 30 minutes. Grill as desired.
