Feast of Lanterns
From Dorothy McNett's recipes at www.dorothymcnett.com. This is to honor Pacific Grove's annual Feast of Lanterns by a simple replication of all of the colorful Chinese lanterns hanging all around town!
cantaloupe balls
watermelon balls
white melon balls, or large grapes
carrot sticks
finely chopped nuts, seeds, etc as desired for decorations
String 3 balls of various colored fruits on thin carrot sticks (or toothpicks or chopsticks). Sprinkle with small amounts of very finely chopped nuts, or seeds, or chocolate powder to make simple decorations. Arrange and enjoy the feast!
